'Grand' funding boost for local sports clubs

Two popular Heywood and Rochdale area sports clubs have been given a much-needed cash boost thanks to a regional builder’s community support initiative. Queensway Amateur Boxing Club and Roach Dynamos Blacks under-13s football team will each receive a £1,000 donation from Persimmon Homes North West as part of the housebuilder’s Community Champions scheme.
